  10. Agreement – By participating in a class you agree to the Terms of Participation

Please disclose any injuries or medical conditions that may affect you while exercising. All instructions are provided by a qualified and experienced practitioner, who is happy to adapt exercises to your individual needs.

If any movement causes discomfort, you must stop immediately, take a break, and inform the instructor, who can provide further guidance. You are responsible for monitoring your own physical condition and participating within your limits.

By participating in prenatal Pilates or any pregnancy-related sessions, you confirm that you have received approval from your GP, midwife, or qualified healthcare provider to engage in exercise. You acknowledge that while these sessions are designed to support safe movement during pregnancy, all physical activity carries some level of risk. You agree to listen to your body, work within your personal limits, and inform the instructor immediately if you experience any pain, discomfort, dizziness, shortness of breath, bleeding, or other unusual symptoms. You understand that the guidance provided is general in nature and is not a substitute for personalised medical advice. It is your responsibility to monitor your own condition and modify or stop exercises as needed.

If you choose to attend non-prenatal classes during pregnancy, you understand these sessions are not tailored for pregnancy and agree to take full responsibility for modifying exercises as needed, stop when noticing any discomfort and ensuring you have appropriate medical clearance. By attending, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in exercise during pregnancy and agree that WildSpirit Coaching and its instructors are not liable for any injury, complications, or adverse outcomes that may occur.

You also confirm that you have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, pregnancy-related complications, or physical limitations that may affect your ability to participate safely. Here is a detailed list of warning signs of when to stop an exercise, as well as conditions that would need specific medical clearance or would exclude you from taking a class:

  • You agree to discontinue participation and seek medical advice immediately if you experience any warning signs, including but not limited to: chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting, severe headache, muscle weakness affecting balance, calf pain/swelling/redness, sudden swelling of hands/feet/face, vaginal bleeding, leakage of amniotic fluid, decreased fetal movement, uterine contractions, or abdominal pain.
  • You must not participate if you have any known medical or obstetric contraindications, including rupture of membranes, preterm labor risk, unexplained vaginal bleeding, placenta previa after mid-pregnancy, preeclampsia or pregnancy-induced hypertension, incompetent cervix, intrauterine growth restriction, multiple pregnancy with complications, uncontrolled diabetes or hypertension, uncontrolled thyroid disease, or significant cardiovascular, respiratory, or systemic illness.
  • Individuals with relative risk conditions (such as well-controlled gestational hypertension, mild to moderate medical conditions, anemia, malnutrition or eating disorders, recurrent pregnancy loss, or twin pregnancy after 28 weeks) should only participate with explicit approval and supervision from a qualified healthcare provider.

2. Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their own belongings. The instructor is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Valuable items may be brought into the studio at your own discretion.

3. Bookings & Payments

Payment is required in advance and secures your place in a class or course. Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.

4. Refund Policy

Single Classes:
All single-class bookings are non-refundable. You may still contact me via email marie@wildspirit-coaching.co.uk. If I am at home and have access to the booking system (using my laptop) and see your message in time, I can reschedule your drop-in to another date. The earlier you message me, the higher the chance I see the message. It’s always worth asking – usually 1-2 days’ notice are enough time.

Course Blocks:
For block bookings (courses), refunds are only available if requested at least 7 days prior to the start of the first class.

5. Missed Classes & Credits

If you are aware in advance that you cannot attend certain dates within a course, you must discuss this with the instructor before booking.

Where agreed in advance, the instructor may offer a credit for missed sessions, which can be used to join or make up classes at a later date.

Missed classes that have not been communicated prior to booking are not eligible for credit or refund.

6. Data protection

Any personal information provided will be handled in accordance with UK data protection laws and used only for the purpose of delivering our services.

7. Instructor and Location Changes

We reserve the right to change the instructor, class schedule, or location where reasonably necessary. This may include, but is not limited to, circumstances such as instructor illness, family emergencies, or other unforeseen events.

Where possible, any such changes will be communicated to participants in advance. In the event that a change is communicated on the same day as the scheduled class and you are unable or unwilling to attend as a result, you will be entitled to a refund or class credit.

8. Teaching Style and Physical Adjustment

Classes involve hands-on guidance and physical adjustments to support alignment and technique. By participating, you acknowledge and consent to such contact. If you prefer not to receive physical adjustments, you must inform the instructor prior to the start of the class. Your preferences will be respected at all times.

9. Photography and Media

We may take photographs or video recordings during classes for promotional and marketing purposes, including use on social media and our website. By attending classes, you consent to the use of such images and recordings in which you may appear. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must inform the instructor prior to the start of the class, and steps will be taken to respect your request.
