MOVE WITH YOUR CHANGING BODY
Pregnancy can make familiar movement suddenly feel very different.
Learn how to adapt movement through pregnancy, practise comfortably and build confidence in what your body can still do.
UNDERSTAND YOUR CORE & PELVIC FLOOR
Go beyond simply being told to “do your pelvic floor exercises.”
We’ll explore how your pelvic floor, abdominal wall, breathing and posture work together — during pregnancy and as you begin recovering afterwards.
FEEL MORE PREPARED FOR POSTPARTUM
The early postpartum months can come with a lot of conflicting advice and you might rather stay at home than joining a recovery class.
Leave this session with a clearer understanding of recovery exercises you can do as needed.
A little preparation can make postpartum feel less uncertain.
Pregnancy tends to receive a lot of attention. Postpartum recovery often receives considerably less.
You may be told to rest for six weeks and then, after a short check-up, simply return to exercise — without much explanation of what has changed, what sensations are normal, how your core and pelvic floor work after birth, or how to know when your body is ready for more.
This workshop is designed to help bridge that gap.
We’ll begin with 45 minutes of pregnancy-friendly Yoga, allowing you to move, breathe and explore useful adaptations in a relaxed environment.
We’ll then move into an interactive Postpartum Pilates & Recovery workshop, looking at the anatomy and physiology behind recovery and translating it into simple things you can actually use.
The workshop will help you:
- Understand how pregnancy affects the abdominal wall and pelvic floor
- Explore breathing, posture and pressure management
- Learn the foundations of postpartum core reconnection
- Understand what a gradual return to exercise can look like

Frequently Asked Questions
Meet your instructor: Marie

Marie’s teaching brings together more than ten years of experience across Yoga, Pilates, strength training and movement coaching, alongside a Master’s degree in Psychology, extensive study of anatomy and physiology, and research experience within women’s health psychology — including research into the benefits of strength training during perimenopause.
Alongside being a qualified Yoga and Pilates teacher, she has undertaken additional training in prenatal and postnatal Pilates and postpartum exercise, including pelvic-floor and core-recovery considerations.
Marie is also a mum herself, which is one of the reasons supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum and other periods of physical change lies particularly close to her heart. She understands how important it can be to find movement that feels supportive, realistic and adaptable rather than prescriptive.
